From a press release
issued by Dunlop/Race Tire Service:
Dunlop Supports Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides at Daytona
Daytona has always been a challenge, both for racers and for tires. The high banks of Daytona create substantial heat in tires, like no other racetrack on the planet. For this reason, Dunlop has always made a specific Daytona compound/construction tire, which has proven to be the top tire, year after year, winning more motorcycle races and championships at Daytona than any other tire company.
Race Tire Service, Dunlop's national distributor, has always supplied these tires to racers attending the CCS ROC and the AMA events at Daytona. Race Tire Service is now going to make these tires available to the riders attending the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides on Thursday Oct 17 2013. Orders can be placed online, over the phone, or see us in the Dunlop garage Thursday morning before the first session.
"Daytona is not a track you want to try to run equipment or tires that are not 100% suited for the job," said Steve Brubaker, President of Race Tire Service. "Riders go to the track so they can ride at speed, have fun and experience the exhilaration of full-on performance riding. They don't come to go slow or be held back by their equipment or tires. So every rider should be using the proper tire when riding at Daytona, anything less, means you will be second guessing your equipment at every turn and every straightaway, and frankly that's not fun."
