This weekend, June 19-21, 2015, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is back in action at NOLA Motorsports Park, located in Avondale, Louisiana. This will be the only stop for the CMRA this season at the 2.75 mile, clockwise 16-turn road course. Two unique features of this track: a 3360 foot long front straight, and 40 to 50 feet of track width make this a very fast course. In addition, CMRA will also be hosting Round 2 of the U.S.National Endurance Series (USNE) this weekend. A full schedule of events can be viewed here: http://www.cmraracing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=626&d=1433774491

The weekend’s activities begin Friday with an all day CMRA racer practice and CMRA License school beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and pre-registration is not required. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 6:30 am Friday, June 19.

Saturday’s schedule begins with a full slate of Mini and Lightweight sprint races, including the Rainbox Sox Racing Junior Motard race for our youngest racers, ages 8-12 years old. Then it’s Round 1 of the Solo 30 races, with Solo 30 HW and MW sponsored by Island Racing Services, and the day concludes with the a 6 Hour CMRA Championship Endurance race, which will combine CMRA and the 2nd round of the U.S.National Endurance Series (USNE) for the biggest endurance crossover event at NOLA of the year.

Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of competitive Big Bike sprint races. Among the exciting classes not to be missed is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation / P1 Racing Formula 1 Expert class. In addition to a cash purse totaling $14,000 paid out to the top Formula 1 Expert finishers over the course of the 2015 season, a portion of each entry fee is donated to Breast Cancer Research.

A few of the other weekend purse paying classes include, RaceworX – A Superstock Expert ($165), Island Racing Services – Solo 30 HW Expert & MW Expert ($300), and Remember Brooks Gremmels – A Superbike Endurance ($225). A full list of sponsored classes and payouts can be found here: http://www.cmraracing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=612&d=1431111796

Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. We race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $25 on Thursday or Friday, $25 on Saturday, and just $15 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $10 for entry on either Saturday or Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.
