SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2013 SEASON ROARS TO LIFE ON beIN SPORT THIS WEEKEND
Expanding its coverage of international sports to the world of motorcycle racing, beIN SPORT, Americaâ€™s fastest-growing TV network, today announced it will televise the entire Superbike World Championship 2013 season live beginning with the season opener from the Phillip Island Circuit in Victoria, Australia this Saturday, February 23 from 7:30 to 12:45 p.m. ET.
The network will also simulcast a live stream of the entire race â€“ as well as every single race of the 2013 Superbike 1000cc and related Supersport 600cc racing series -- on its website at .
Many of the worldâ€™s best riders compete in the Superbike World Championship which is distinguished by employing modified production motorcycles that resemble their street counterparts as closely as possible. The series is governed by the FÃ©dÃ©ration Internationale de Motorcyclisme (FIM).
The 2013 field is wide open as current reigning World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi retires from competition. Veteran riders such as Jonathan Rea (Pata Honda World Superbike Team), Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad GoldBet SBK Team) and Carlos Checa (Team Ducati Alstare) will compete against a premier-class of rookies.
