LOUDON, N.H. (Feb. 4, 2016) –The two-wheeled racing action during the 93rd Annual Loudon Classic just got even more thrilling as two series were added to the lineup at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The Loudon Classic, which falls in line with Laconia Motorcycle Week, will begin on June 11 for a high intensity week-long event through June 19.

New to the speedway, the American Sport Bike Racing Association (ASRA) Team Challenge Series will come to Loudon for a unique team sport approach to motorcycle racing. The series features endurance races approximately 200 kilometers in length or roughly two hours where teams can have up to four riders. The classes of motorcycles will be split between GTO, GTU and GT Lights for various displacements. New Hampshire Motor Speedway will host round three of the eight round series on Friday, June 17.

American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Pro Supermoto riders will make their second visit to the Loudon Classic for some of the most exciting high speed race action on two-wheels. Supermoto combines elements of motocross, dirt track and road racing into one dynamic event with points awarded each round to determine the national champions in each of their three classes: Pro Open, Pro Lites, and National Amateur. The stakes are high as the races held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will be round two of the six round championship season. The AMA Supermoto will practice Friday, June 17, with qualifying, heat races and feature races on Saturday, June 18.

“Supermoto racing meets the circus with jumps, high-speed straights and both dirt and asphalt surfaces, resulting in one very competitive race,” says Kristen Lestock, director of communications at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. “The addition of ASRA Team Challenge and AMA Supermoto will add to an already jam-packed Loudon Classic weekend for motorcycle enthusiasts.”

The main event and the oldest motorcycle race in America, the 93rd running of the Loudon Classic, will run Saturday, June 18 and feature the middleweight grand prix racers from the Loudon Road Race Series. LRRS riders will practice and race throughout the weekend (June 17-19) on the 1.6-mile road course. The LRRS schedule will feature seven weekends of Championship Cup Series (CCS) motorcycle racing, including the Loudon Classic.

Opening the week-long event is the racers from the United States Vintage Racing Association (June 11-12) showcasing some of the oldest, most unique motorcycles around. USCRA preserves historic motorcycles for close and side-by-side racing in the spirit of friendly competition and sportsmanship.

In addition to the events already listed for the Loudon Classic, vendors will be on hand all week for ride and drives with motorcycle manufacturers to allow visitors to see the latest equipment, upgrade and maintain their rides, and enjoy a full week of all things motorcycle. Six top manufacturers are already confirmed including Can-Am, Slingshot, Harley Davidson, Victory, Indian, and Yamaha. New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s 1,200-acre facility provides motorcycle enthusiasts with spacious, all-terrain experiences for their ride and drives.
