Subject: Update on Possible Modifications to 2014 American SuperBike Electronic Rules
On November 2nd, 2012, AMA Pro Racing posted a final request for proposal from ECU manufacturers interested in the possibility of becoming an Official Partner of AMA Pro Racing and the exclusive supplier of ECUs for the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Championship applicable no earlier than 2014. The request called out a submittal deadline of December 14th and stated any modifications to the 2014 American SuperBike electronic rules would be posted by December 31st, 2012. Each submitted proposal has been reviewed and considered. AMA Pro Racing is now in direct consultation with teams and associated O.E. manufactures, openly discussing the remaining options for future electronic regulations. Because of this very important dialog, any announcement pertaining to possible modifications to the 2014 American SuperBike electronic rules will be no later than January 31st, 2013.
