Following the passing of Hurricane Matthew in the Orlando area, the AIMExpo operations team on the ground has provided the following update:

Orange County Convention Center – Reopens Saturday morning, October 8th for scheduled pre move-in activities

  1. Hotel update – All hotels open
  2. Airport update – Reopens Saturday morning, October 8th. Check with individual airlines
  3. AIMExpo timetable – On schedule for exhibitor move-in with show opening Thursday, October 13

Cinnamon Kernes, AIMExpo Show Director reports, “We were very fortunate that Matthew stayed further out at sea and didn’t come as close to the coast as had been predicted. The rain has stopped and although we are still experiencing strong gusts, the wind has subsided considerably from earlier today. There are no known power outages or damage to the Convention Center, AIMExpo host hotels, or other key facilities in the Orlando Convention District. We are looking forward to getting the convention center ready this weekend for our exhibitors to move-in as originally scheduled on Tuesday, October 11th (Monday for those with early Targeted move-in times). All systems are a ‘go’ for show opening to trade and media visitors on Thursday, October 13.”

Future updates will be posted as necessary at www.AIMExpoUSA.com and AIMExpo’s social media channels (which can be found below).
