Anthony Alonso will be racing in the final two rounds of British Superbike Monster Energy MotoStar 125GP series in September and October representing the Bay Area Riders Forum. The class runs on the same weekend as the British Superbike Series and is closely watched by the major players in the industry, not only in the UK, but also Europe as a whole. Alonso has been sponsored by BARF for 8 years and is having an outstanding year in both, the WERA and AFM series. Besides riding these two events, the 14 year-old hopes to tryout for the Red Bull Rookies Cup for a second time during his three-week adventure in Europe. Alonso will be racing top-spec Honda RS125 GP bike. His current Bay Area Riders Forum Racing bike is a Honda RS125, so Anthony is familiar with the machines, but these bikes are higher-spec than his own. Anthony will have the chance to show how fast he can learn new tracks and how he stacks up against some of Europe’s top young guns. His journey will be featured in the “Racers Corner” at www.bayarearidersforum.com, where he will share his adventure with the members of the forum and many AFM/WERA regulars who hang out on the site. Of the opportunity Anthony said, “First, I am very thankful to Bud, Bay Area Riders Forum and Evolution Motorcycles for making this trip a reality. They have been supporting me since I was a little kid riding around on PocketBikes. I am super excited to have the opportunity to race in Europe. The level is very high and I expect the UK kids will make it tough on me.” Denny “Budman” Kobza, owner of Bay Area Riders Forum, said, “When this opportunity came up for Anthony I had to step up and help the great young man reach for the stars. After watching him grow from a Mini Bike Champ to one of the fastest young men on the west coast this was just too good of a chance to miss. We wish him much success and fun!” For more information on the Anthony Alonso please visit. ~http://www.alonso.tv~ For more about the series please visit: ~http://ww2.britishsuperbike.com/support/2012/125gp.aspx~
