Yamaha Announces Pricing Of 2006 Model Sportbikes

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. has announced pricing of its 2006 model sportbikes. The new YZF-R1 will sell for $11,299 (blue and white), $11,399 (“raven,” or black) and $11,599 in the yellow, black and white 50th Anniversary colors. All will be available starting in November of 2005. The 500 limited-production YZF-R1 LEs will be available in December of 2005 for a suggested retail price of $18,000. The all-new YZF-R6 will have a suggested retail price of $9199 (blue and white), $9299 (“raven,” or black) and $9499 in the 50th Anniversary yellow, black and white paint scheme. They will be available starting in January of 2006. The YZF-R6S will go for $8199 in blue and white and $8299 in “raven,” or black, and will be available in November 2005. The new FZ-1 will sell for $9099 in either red or silver, starting in February 2006. The FZ-6 will be offered at $6799 in either red or blue, starting in December of 2005.
