XCEL Trackdays to Hold Commemorative Motorcycle Trackday Fundraiser in Remembrance of Elaine Carpenter and Ted Rich

MESA, AZ, September 13, 2018 – XCEL Trackdays announces their September 30, 2018 trackday event will commemorate fellow motorcyclists Elaine Carpenter and Ted Rich who lost their lives August 20, 2018 in a small airplane accident in Phoenix, Arizona. The event is sponsored by XCEL Trackdays, Arizona Motorsports Park and The Helmet Center. All proceeds will be donated to the Roadracing World Action Fund that promotes motorcycle racing safety and education.

Ms. Carpenter and Mr. Rich were motorcycle enthusiasts, ambassadors, and instructors in the close-knit Phoenix-area motorcycle community. Ms. Carpenter was a skilled veterinary surgeon, a motorcycle racing instructor, and was also a contestant on American Ninja Warrior. Mr. Rich was a staple in the Arizona riding and racing community since the late 1990s when he owned and operated AZTrackday. He was a licensed American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) racer, racing instructor, and trainer to many Arizona and California area riders.
