CRA October Invitational Wraps Up The 2005 Season With Style.

The CRA (Central Roadracing Association, www.cra-mn.com) decided to do something different to close out the season this year. What better way to test your skills than to open the market for all to play, so the CRA invited all licensed road racers from across the nation to MAM for our final 2005 event. Racers from the MRA, CCS, WERA, and other clubs showed up and delivered quite the challenge to the CRA natives. Boyd Whiteoak #357 was able to claim his number one plate for the 2005 season with several wins throughout the weekend. Larry Denning and Joseph Gill took wins in the middle, heavy, and unlimited races while Jace Porter and John Cadreact took wins in lightweight. George O’Neill and Chad Bakkene winning in ultralight and James Boudreau in GP for the remaining expert races. In our novice field Mathew Losen won his fair share of heavier class races with Chuck Dahlheimer winning the lightweight boughts, Nick Olsen and Jason Lanigan in ultralight.

Our Saturday evening pitbike race was joined by our first annual Presidents race between CRA President Mark Miller and MRA President Glenn Conser. It was officially a tie at the checkered flag after numerous shortcuts and conduct unbecoming of a president. For their punishment they both wore dresses as they handed out trophies later that evening, several cameras were reported to have broken.

This was the CRA’s 31st year racing. Everyone have a safe off season and we’re looking forward to racing with you again in 2006!
