More, from a press release issued by RBoM Racing:

Coming up this Saturday, August 4th, round 2 of the WERA/N2 4-hour Endurance Series will take place at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) and defending Lightweight Class Champions RBoM Racing will once again double their chances of victory with both the RBoM128 and RBoM117 Suzuki SV650’s taking to the grid.

After round 1’s fiasco at PIRC, which included some craptastic riding by local PIRC hotshot “Soupy” Simon Buric, an impromptu display of metal-forming skills by Chris Parrish, one botched tire-changing pit stop, and a repeat of last year’s “I think the fuel light works?” fuel strategy by team principal Russell Masecar, that ironically didn’t work AGAIN, the team has regrouped and is bringing in a handful of new riders to squash the dreams of round 1 winners Chiefs Racing, podium savvy 419 Racing, Cymbol Monkey Racing, Team Meat, Four Dudes on a Twin, and all other challengers.

Many qualified, and even more unqualified, racers have expressed interest in helping out the dysfunctional RBoM Racing dilemma, but the team has decided to bring in some SV650 racers from the MotoAmerica Twins Cup grid to join current Twins Cup points leader Chris Parrish. Steve Tsotsoros has been promoted from the RBoM117 bike to the RBoM128 bike and former RedBull MotoGP Rookies Cup competitor/ex-Team Hammer M4 Suzuki GSXR600 racer Kris Turner has been recruited to team up with Parrish and Tsotsoros.

Roaring Toyz’ shop owner and longtime Suzuki Cup SV650 racer Robert Fisher will head up the RBoM117 effort and will team up with well-rested, perennial RBoM Racing team member Chris Bays. To make things even more unfair for the other Lightweight class competitors, California brewmaster and west coast SV650 hotshot Dave Sapsis will ride anchor slot for the RBoM117 entry.

There are rumors that CCS Team Challenge Lightweight class champion LWTRacer.com has put their SV650 “junkyard special” back together and has recruited some west coast SV650 track record holders to put the smackdown, so things could get interesting when the green flag drops at 1:15pm this Saturday.

RBoM Racing would like to thank WERA for hosting this event, N2 Trackdays for putting the prize money up for grabs, and team supporters Woodcraft, Galfer, and the Dustin Ducote fan club.
