WERA National Challenge Series: Ricky O’Hare Wins A Pair At New Jersey Motorsports Park

N2 AND WERA AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK RE-CAP!

Over the October 5-7 N2 and WERA Motorcycle Roadracing were on Thunderbolt Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park, in Millville, NJ, for a N2/WERA Round with a Ultralightweight 2-hour race and a Big-Bike 4-hour race on Saturday. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing riders took the track on Sunday to compete in the final Sportsman Series round for the Atlantic Coastal region as well as the penultimate round of the Pirelli/WERA National Challenge Series. The final round for the Pirelli/WERA National Series will take place at the WERA Grand National Finals (GNF) at the end of October at Barber Motorsports Park.

Winners for the weekend were:

131 Chuck Ivey on his Yamaha R6 in C Superbike Expert with 710 Ryan Christian behind him by 0.035 on his Yamaha R6 and 76 Louie Raffa on his Hon 600 rounding out the top three. Novice C SB saw 38 Steven Roth on his Yam 600 take the win followed by 371 David Oates on his Yam 600 and 262 Michael Martin on his Yam 600. 

Formula 1 saw 18 Ricky O’Hare on his Yam 1000 take the win followed by 16 Vasiliy Zhulin on his Yam 1000 and 98 Matthew Bruno on his Yam 1000. Novice winner was 164 Dan Hawkins on his Yam 1000 with 257 Mike McAbier on his Yam 1000 and 418 Eli M Narramore on his BMW1000. 

The V8 race saw 37 John Hvzidak on his Kaw 1000 take the better of 38 Jim Roth on his Suz 600.

Lightweight Twin SS saw 40 Bradley Champion take the win followed by 315 David Stauffer and 728 Jerry Reeves all on Suz SV 650s. Novice saw 84 Matt Spicer take the win.

DSB Expert winner was 144 Argee Cardinas on his Hon 125 followed by 52 Scott McKee on his Yam 489. Novice DSB winner was 788 Seth Long on a Hon 250 followed by 74 Travis Hankey on his Mor RS250. 

ESS Expert was 122 Blake Davis on his Yam 321 followed by 222 Tyler Wissel on his Yam 320 Novices saw 931 Joseph LiMandri, Jr. take the win on his Kaw 300 followed by 15 Isaiah DeBusk on his Yam 300 and 312 Gus Rodio on his Kaw 300.

Lightweight Twins SB went to 38 Kris Turner, followed by 60 Champion and 315 Dave Stauffer all on Suz SV650s. Novice winner was 754 Ryan Carson followed by 84 Spicer both on Suz SV650s and third was 74 Hankey on his Mor SR250. 

DSS Expert saw 122 Davis again with 222 Wissel on his Yam 320 behind him. Novice DSS saw 931 LiMandri, Jr. followed by 312 Rodio both on Kaw 300s and 788 Long on his Hon 250. 

V6 Lightweight saw 52 McKee take the win on his Yam 489.on25 Hon

750 Superbike was won by 760 Timothy Wilson on his Kaw 600 followed by Chris Rodriquez on his Yam 600 and 76 Louie Raffa on his Hon 600. Novice winner #371 Oates on his Yam 600 followed by 85 Eric Anderson on his Yam 600 and 713 Juie Klingler taking third on her Kaw 636. 

A Superbike was 100 James Frantz on his Yam 1000 in front of 257 McAbier on his Yam 1000 followed by 418 Narramore on his BMW 1000. 

Open A Superstock Expert had 18 O’Hare win followed by 511 Tim Bemisderfer on his BMW 10000 with 16 Zhulin on his Yam 1000. Novice was 164 Hawkins followed by 257 McAbier and 221 Roy Horrigan on his Suz 1000.

The feature Michelin/WERA Superbike saw 18 O’Hare on his Yam 1000 take the win with 16 Zhulin on his Yam 1000 taking second and 511 Bemisderfer on his Suz 1000 taking third. The Novice ASB win went to 100 Frantz, followed by 257 McAbier and 418 Narramore.

Clubman Expert was another win for 122 Davis followed by 144 Cardenas and 222 Wissel. Novice went to 312 Rodio, followed by 74 Hankey and 788 Long. 

F Superstock saw 73 Kevin Netto on his Hon 250 take the win. 

Heavyweight Twins saw 75 Kevin Malone win on his Duc 1199 followed by 145 Stephen Tsotsoros on his EBR 1190 and 644 Brian Mullins on a Suz SV650. 

Senior Superbike HW Expert was 511 Bemisderfer on his Suz 1000 followed by 98 Bruno on the 1000 Yam. Heavyweight Senior Superbike Novice winner 100 Frantz, followed by 418 Narramore and 221 Horrigan. 

Senior Superbike Mediumweight Expert were 174 William Posse on his Yam 600 followed by Wilson on his Kaw 600.

C Superstock Expert winner was 61 Anthony Mazziotto, III followed by 710 Christian and 131 Ivey all on Yamaha 600s. Novice win went to 38 Roth followed by 371 Oates then 85 Anderson all on Yamaha 600s. 

Formula 2 saw 40 Champion take the win followed by 315 Stauffer then 592 Jon Crawford all on Suz SV650s. Novice winner was 754 Carson followed by 84 Spicer and 788 Long. 

750 SB Expert went to 165 Jim McConville on is Suz 600, and Novice winner was 371 Oates followed by 85 Anderson and 713 Klingler.

The final event for WERA Motorcycle Roadracing for 2018 will be at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama which will include the WERA Sportsman winner-take-all Championships, the final round of the WERA Vintage Series, the Pirelli/Michelin WERA National Challenge Series and the AMA Road Race Grand Championships and introducing the final round of the N2/WERA Big Bike Endurance on Thursday. The event runs from October 25 through the 28th!!
