Mat Mladin won the second Superbike race at California Speedway, beating Eric Bostrom by 6.373 seconds and Kurtis Roberts by 8.558 seconds. But race officials docked Roberts 10 seconds for cutting a chicane, which gave Miguel Duhamel third and Aaron Yates fourth.

The 28-lap race was red-flagged on the 12th lap to clean up oil on the track, which was a break for Mladin, who had been black-flagged for jumping the start. Even without the restart, Mladin likely would have won; he was about 8 seconds out of first place and gaining a second a lap when the red flag flew.
