VETMotorsports Partners with Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson teams for 2014

Upper Arlington, Ohio.

VETMotorsports will again be partnering with select AMA Pro Road Racing Teams to increase wounded combat veteran outreach during the 2014 season. VETMotorsports mission is to honor and empower disabled combat veterans through active participation in motorsports. To help achieve this mission, James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing and ChiliPepper Racing’s (CPR) entries will assist those efforts. Both teams compete in the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Racing Series with riders Paul James, Ricky Parker and Hayden Schultz.

James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing and CPR will be partnered with VETMotorsports beginning at the Daytona International Speedway,March 13-14. Both teams have committed to support of combat veteran outreach for the complete 2014 AMA Pro season. For the first event, a Marine combat veteran from the Wounded Warrior Regiment will assist the #70 entry of Paul James. CPR will embed an Army medic who is a member of the Wounded Warrior Program and the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association. CPR will be fielding the #59 entry of Hayden Schultz and the #96 entry of Ricky Parker. By assisting VETMotorsports both teams help create a unique outreach program that positively impacts local-area combat veterans by engaging their mind and body.

“We are proud to partner with VETMotorsports and work with combat wounded veterans as embedded members of our AMA Pro race team,” said Paul James co-owner and rider for James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing. “Our experience with the program in 2013 was amazing and we were honored to work alongside some incredible men and women throughout the racing season.”

CPR team owner Chris Richardson added, “ChiliPepperRacing is honored to be partnering with the VETMotorsports program for our second year in the AMA Pro Racing’s Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series. Wounded combat veteran outreach is a perfect match for our race team’s inclusive atmosphere and mission statement. VETMotorsports has put together a great program that is rewarding for all those involved and we look forward to working with them again in 2014.”

“Both teams (James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing and CPR) allow VETMotorsports to have a strong presence in the paddock and on the grid for 2014. On behalf of the board of directors, VETMotorsports is grateful for the opportunity and to provide this generation of wounded veterans a unique and powerful outlet to showcase their value,” stated VETMotorsports Executive Director and Founder Peter Cline.
