Southern California Track Day organizers team up to send a message at the Long Beach IMS!

November 2, 2014 –Southern California Track Day organizations have banded together to send a message to sport bike riders: Take your bike to the track!

Track Day Central will be a row at this year’s 2014 IMS show in Long Beach and will feature most of the region’s premiere track day providers. It is the first time the competitors have come together with a common goal.

“We think it is important to let riders know there is a safe, controlled place to ride a sport bike the way it is built to be ridden,” said James Morse from TrackXperience Track Days.

David Pyles of Fastrack Riders Track Days has been running track events for over 10 years. He added, “Today’s sport bikes are built for performance that most of us can barely tap into. Most organizations also offer some form of rider coaching to help you learn how to get the most out of your machine.”

“We reached out to all of the track day companies in SoCal to join up. As a group we have a stronger voice and a better chance to get the word out. Watch 3 minutes of YouTube videos showing sport bikes on Mulholland and you can see there are plenty of riders that would have a lot more fun on the track then they do wedged under a guardrail,” explained Dustin Coyner of TrackDaz.

“Unfortunately we may not be able to attend the Long Beach show this year. However, I do think that the launch of Track Day Central will be the start of something good. Collectively, we offer events at local tracks almost every weekend throughout the year. Riders need to know that there is a safer option than the canyons,” commented Stacy Wilson of Let’s Ride Track Days.

The Southern California Progressive International Motorcycle Show will be at the Long Beach Convention Center from November 14 to November 16. Details can be found at: www.motorcycleshows.com.
