Tiger tests new ZX-6RR

–Daytona Beach, FL. Teenage factory Kawasaki pilot, Tony “The Tiger” Meiring had a Daytona tire test he would rather forget. The test was hampered by poor weather and a new bike that had teething problems. As a result, Tony was never able to really get up to speed on the new Kawasaki ZX-6RR.

Despite the problems, the 1999 AMA Horizon Award winner detected some of the new bike’s potential. “The brakes work really well; they’re really progressive. And the handling is very impressive, as well. You go into the corner and it’ll hold its line, but you can also tighten it back up if you have to. It’s really an impressive handler. But we still need to develop the motor a bit. We’re all putting a lot of work into this new bike because we believe that the new ZX-6RR is capable of being a front running bike. We just have to work out the bugs because it’s so new.”

Tony also tested Shoei’s new X-Eleven helmet, which was painted in a wild livery by Airtrix, Tony’s new helmet painter. “The new helmet works great. It’s incredibly light, strong, and well ventilated. It also stands out quite a bit with the Airtrix treatment. Nobody else has anything like it.”
