Three West Coast Clubs Reciprocate Race Licenses

Racing just got one level better between the Northwest and Northern California. The three clubs that sanction racing in this area of the country are WMRRA, OMRRA, and AFM. All three are offering reciprocity between clubs, meaning if you hold a race license with any of those clubs, the other two clubs will recognize your license and allow you to race with them. The goal is create bigger grids for the clubs and better cross pollination of riders attending other clubs events, resulting better racing for all and more unification up and down the coast. There is one small caveat with the reciprocity; OMRRA and AFM will require you to purchase a license with them if you want to contend and accrue championship points for the season. However WMRRA does not have this requirement surrounding their seasonal championship. Other than that, all the clubs welcome racers from outside their area and are excited at the potential to increase their attendance. With the first round of AFM already in the books from Buttonwillow on March 22/23 as well as OMRRA’s season opener at Portland International Raceway over the April 12/13 weekend, racing in both clubs has been strong with exciting results. WMRRA has their initial 2014 round this upcoming weekend of April 26/27 at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA, a challenging new track that was built recently in 2012. WMRRA is offering unique reciprocal entry fees for racers from AFM and OMRRA in an effort to attract even more riders to race with them: the first weekend racing with WMRRA for the 2014 season, is half priced! 2014 should be an excellent year for motorcycle racing on the West Coast and this arrangement will make it one notch better!

Both WMRRA and OMRRA have a 6 round schedule for 2014 and AFM has 7 scheduled for this year. Schedule dates for each club can be found on their websites. WMMRA www.wmrra.com, OMRRA www.omrra.com, & AFM www.afmracing.org
