Hawthorne PD Co-Hosts First Ever Motor Officer Training Day With 3X AMA Superbike Champion Reg Pridmore’s CLASS Motorcycle School

On Sept 22, 2016, in a first of its kind training, the Hawthorne Police Department will be co-hosting a “Motorcycle Officer” training day at the famed “Streets of Willow” training facility with 3X American Motorcycle Association champion Reg Pridmore.

Pridmore, a fervent supporter of law enforcement and a highly regarded professional motorcycle instructor with over 50 years of experience, was approached by members of the Hawthorne Police Department last year after several of their motor officers attended one of his “CLASS” training days. Their rave reviews on his teaching style, knowledge, riding skills and commitment to focus and control fit exactly into what motor officers strive for in their own training. With very few facilities available for high speed motorcycle training, this class and facility was tailor made for the job motor officers have.

“I can’t think of a better place for motor officers to find out what both they and their bikes are capable of” said Lt. Ti Goetz of the Hawthorne Traffic Bureau.

The press is invited to attend the training and where safety gear allows, ride with Reg Pridmore on the back of his motorcycle for a first-hand view of the training. Those wishing to ride should contact Lt. Ti Goetz at (310) 349-2700 or Reg Pridmore at (805) 933-9936.
