VETMotorsports today announced that it was recently presented with a donation on behalf of The Lightwell Foundation. VETMotorsports is a Columbus, Ohio based non-profit that places post 9/11 disabled veterans into motorsports activities as part of their national non-clinical outreach program. The Lightwell Foundation represents Lightwell Inc. (http://www.lightwellinc.com), a leading international IT services and solutions company based in Dublin, Ohio. Both VETMotorsports and The Lightwell Foundation are members of The Columbus Foundation, which connects donors to nonprofits with the goal of strengthening and improving the community for the benefit of all its citizens.

“VETMotorsports could not think of a better way to head into Veterans Day,” stated VETMotorsports Executive Director and Founder Peter Cline. “To be recognized by The Lightwell Foundation for our work in the veteran community is amazing. We have had an strong year locally and nationally, with over 45 disabled veterans and their caregivers being hosted by VETMotorsports. The gift allows us to continue forward, grow and take advantage of the opportunities to place disabled veterans into events that create positive outcomes. We would encourage other local businesses to support local programing that create opportunities for those that have served our county.”

“With over 70% of the homeless being veterans that have served our county, it’s critical that we, as a community, work together on their behalf. We must do better. If we can help these brave men and women begin to reclaim their identities, helping them believe in their abilities as we do, we’ll go a long way towards breaking this cycle,” commented Michelle Kerr, President and Founder of Lightwell. “We’re proud to be a part of the solution and look forward to a long and successful partnership with VETMotorsports.”
