Triple Threat Racing’s Hunt and Mollak 2 wins and 4 podiums.

Triple Threat Racing’s Tim Hunt and Chase Mollak were victorious during The CCS races at Roebling Road Raceway. Combined they had two wins, two seconds and two third place finishes.

Expert Tim Hunt’s main goal for the weekend was to test the new Dunlop GPA Pro tires, and prep his Yamaha YZF-R6 for the Kawasaki Devil’s Showdown with AMA Pro Road Racing scheduled for September 13th-14th at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Hunt finished Saturday’s practice with the fastest lap time of anyone on track including the liter bikes. He was running close to the track record, which he holds at a 1:10.558. He started off his Sunday with a podium in the highly contested Expert GTU. It took Hunt two laps to get through the field but by that time the leader had already pulled too far ahead. Hunt made the choice to manage his second place position. In his second race Hunt had an unfortunate low side and had to retire early from Expert Supersport Middleweight. He was able to repair his R6 in time to make it to his next race Expert Supersport Heavyweight. This race proved to be the edge of your seat race of the weekend. Tim held the lead for almost the entire race with the rider behind him showing him a wheel every chance he could get. Hunt was beaten literally on the line with a double draft by .004 seconds. Tim finished the weekend off strong, being victorious in the Expert Middleweight Formula 40 race.

Amateur Chase Mollak spent Saturday getting the feel for his new Ohlins suspension. Chase started the weekend off right with a podium in the Amateur GTU race. He kept the podiums coming through the day with another third place finish in Amateur Supersport Middleweight. He was able to put himself and his Yamaha R6 on the top of the box in his third race that day with a win in Amateur Supersport Heavyweight.

“After turning the fastest lap in Saturday’s practice and taking the holeshot lead in the Expert Supersport Heavyweight, Tim maintained the lead the entier race taking a second place at the finish line by a .004 margin, just one of the nail-biting battles of the day! Chase continues to prove that he is one of the top amateurs in the field. I expect to see him continue to podium through the rest of the season for the team.
