SUZUKI EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP TO INCLUDE OFFICIAL MOTORCYCLE AND ATV OF CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY FONTANA, Calif. — California Speedway today announced that American Suzuki Motor Corporation has expanded its partnership to become the “Official Motorcycle and ATV of California Speedway” through 2007. Suzuki will be able to take advantage of having a major presence at the speedway’s events, including in-market promotional support that will benefit race fans as well as a display at one of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race weekends. This follows the partnership agreement with Suzuki and California Speedway that made Suzuki the race weekend sponsor of this year’s AMA Superbike doubleheader, the Suzuki Superbike Challenge, which takes place on the 2.3-mile, 21-turn Motorcycle Competition Course at California Speedway annually. The 2005 Suzuki Superbike Challenge saw the 20th anniversary of the GSX-R motorcycle, exciting SupermotoTT races, a fascinating Cycle Trader Moto Expo vendor area as well as Suzuki’s continuing reign on the Superbike class, with two wins and five podium finishes in the doubleheader event. “We welcome the addition of Suzuki to our family of impressive ‘official’ status partners here at California Speedway,” speedway President Gillian Zucker said. “Suzuki’s leadership position in the motorcycle industry is well known, and locally, our guests will benefit from Suzuki’s strong promotional and retail presence in Southern California. We look forward to this new relationship with Suzuki in our overall effort to enhance the guest experience at California Speedway.” “Suzuki is very excited about expanding our relationship with California Speedway,” said Mel Harris, American Suzuki’s Vice President of the Motorcycle/ATV Division. “After all, California Speedway is our home track and we feel that there’s no better way to support both our customer base and our local race fans than by increasing our support of this Southern California racetrack in general and the Southern California AMA Superbike event in particular.” For more information about American Suzuki Motor Corporation, visit your local Suzuki dealer, or log on to www.suzuki.com. Tickets to remaining 2005 California Speedway events are on sale now. For more information, visit the speedway’s website at www.californiaspeedway.com, or call 800-944-RACE [7223]. California Speedway is owned by International Speedway Corporation, a leading promoter of motorsports activities in the United States, currently promoting more than 100 events annually.
