Team WD-40 welcome Bryan Staring for Brands Hatch

Following the last round of BSB at Silverstone and after lengthy discussion with sponsors and rider Barry Burrell we have mutually agreed with immediate effect to release Barry from his duties with the Team.

We then started to look at our options for the Grand finally of the 2014 MCE British Superbike Championship this coming weekend at Brands Hatch. We had a variety of rider options available for this event but are extremely pleased this week to have been able to agree terms with Australian Bryan Staring !

It is with special thanks to Bryan’s current World Superbike Championship Team owner Andrea Grillini for giving his permission for Bryan to join us for this event.

Bryan Staring, “I’m really excited to come in Brands Hatch this weekend. The British Championship is the one that all the riders around the world keep their eye on. It’s also a pleasure to say I’ll be competing with a team as professional as the of Team WD-40. I thank Brent Gladwin of GR Motosport and Andrea Grillini for the opportunity and look forward to working with the team.

Brent Gladwin Team WD-40’s manager, said: “these situations are never very easy to manage but we as a Team wish Barry well for the future. In moving forward we were overwhelmed by the interest from riders around the world and are excited to have Bryan with us for this event. Bryan’s international pedigree speaks for its self with duties in both MotoGP and WSB, we are looking forward to working with him to evaluate and continue our program with the Superbike”
