In an unexpected and disappointing turn of events, Team H35’s Benny Solis will sit on the sidelines for the next 5 weeks. Unfortunately, this downtime coincides with the final AMA Pro Road Racing event in New Jersey.

It is no secret that Benny maintains a rigid training regimen. It is a rare day that he is not on a motorcycle, in the gym, or out for a spin on the bicycle. Part of his training includes travelling to Mexico several times a year, for road racing as well as motocross. On Friday the 29th of August, he was doing practice laps on a fast and flowing Mexican dirt course. A hard crash happened which resulted in fractures in BOTH his legs!!!

Benny was able to get in front of a doctor very quickly which led to an operation and a flight home to North Hollywood, California.

Team H-35 wishes Benny a quick and thorough recovery.

Benny Solis – #35

“I feel quite disappointed about the whole situation because I really wanted to race the final AMA round. But anytime we are training on a motorcycle there is risk and things like this can happen. We went to operation right away…but unfortunately I won’t be able to race as soon as Jersey. I’m happy though that I’m ok, doctor said I should be good in 4-5 weeks.

“I just want to thank my dad, Humberto Baca, my team, and all my sponsors from this season who helped me out…without them I wouldn’t have raced this season. I’ll be resting a lot and recuperating as fast as I can, I have some races in Mexico this season that I’m looking forward to.”

Benny’s 2014 sponsors and marketing partners include: Humberto Baca, Alpinestars, Dunlop, Motul, Inhouse Suspension, Drippin Wet, EXO Camera Cars, Zero Gravity, GPR Stablizer, Arai, SpeedCell, Renthal, RK Chains, Evol Technology, Catalyst Composites, Yoyodyne, Galfer, “Z”, Gravesport, Taylor Made, EZ UP and Moto Club di Santa Monica.
