Michael Selpe won the Unlimited Grand Prix race March 8 at Roebling Road Raceway on his Pit Stop Motorsport/MDM Yamaha YZF-R1 after nabbing an early lead. Behind Selpe, Alex Pratt was working his BMW S1000RR through traffic from mid-pack and chasing the leaders. Samuel Smathers and Anthony Giangrasso held solid second and third for most of the eight-lap sprint race. After the halfway mark, Pratt was in fourth and looking for a way around Giangrasso’s Yamaha YZF-R1. As they worked through slower traffic, Pratt made his move and claimed the third spot. Selpe took the checkerd flag first with Smathers second on board his Yamaha YZF-R1, Pratt third, Giangrasso fourth, and Richard R. Smith on a Honda CBR1000RR rounding off the top five. Selpe also was part of the winning team in the ASRA Team Challenge Presented by Michelin Tire’s GTU class, and finished fourth in the GTO race.
Pratt nabbed his first Expert win in his first Expert race over the weekend. He won the Unlimited Supersport race the previous day, finishing ahead of Smathers and Giangrasso. Pratt is sponsored by Podium Motorsports, GMD Computrack, and Pratt Racing.
Amateur Mark Rhoades was the winningest racer of the weekend with a whopping seven first-place finishes. Rhoades won the GTU, Middleweight Supersport, Heavyweight Supersport, Rookie’s Cup GTU, Middleweight Grand Prix, Middleweight Superbike, and Heavyweight Superbike on his Farrell Performance-built Kawasaki ZX-6R. Rhoades was happy to report that his lap times were “about one second off the Expert leader lap times in the heavyweight races.” He stated that he was thankful to his sponsors and praying for the riders who had been injured during the event.
Jimmy Fontinopoulos was the winningest Expert of the weekend with three first-place finishes. He won the Middleweight Formula 40, Middleweight Grand Prix, and Middleweight Superbike classes on his MDM/Maher Motorsports Yamaha YZF-R6.
Adrian Jasso won the 250 GP race in the AMA Sanctioned USGPRU Championship Series after struggling through qualifying the previous day. Alex Dumas won the Moto3 race after working his way through traffic and around early race leader, Jackson Blackmon.

Millennium Technologies Racing’s Jason Duplantis finishes on the podium and gains new sponsor at the first race weekend of 2015.
Pooler, GA – Jason Duplantis achieved a best result of 2nd place in the Championship Cup Series GTU race on his Millennium Technologies-sponsored YZF-R6 at Roebling Road Raceway this weekend. Duplantis followed that result up with a 6th place finish in Middle Weight GP on his KWS Motorsports-built Superbike.
Roebling Road Raceway is Jason’s home track and expectations were high for a podium finish. Despite the very cold morning temperatures and long winter break Jason was up to speed with the limited morning practice.
The first race was the 25-minute GTU race. Jason got a good start and went into turn one in 2nd place. By the end of the first lap Jason made a pass stick for the lead and stay there until the Race was red flagged around lap 7. The Race was then restarted and reset to a 5 lap sprint. Again Jason got a good start and was in 2nd place going in to turn one. Jason made an excellent pass on the entry of turn 9 for the lead which he held for three laps. Jason was forced to give up the lead on lap four when he made a mistake going into turn four. Jason tried his best to make up the distance but was unable to and finished less than a second behind the race winner, for a strong 2nd place.
The next race of the weekend was the Middle Weight GP event. The team was really excited to get this race underway; red flags had plagued the previous races and pushed back the race till after the lunch hour. Jason again got a good start and entered turn 1 in second place but, was quickly passed on the inside of turn two. As the pass was made Jason was forced to the outside of the track, and gave up 4 spots trying to recover. Jason tried his best to regain the ground but finished in a lonely 6th place to end weekend.
Jason Duplantis – “This weekend turned out pretty good for our team. I really wanted to get the win in the GTU but sometimes you come up short. I was proud that we ran out front for so many laps and show the team what all their hard work can do. Michael Godin worked hard to find a setup that worked in the ever changing climate. The MWGP race didn’t go as planned, but again that’s racing. We will improve, and with the addition of Geoff Maloney and GP tech joining the team the sky is the limit. Super pumped to have their help this year.
