RoadRace Factory Announces Daytona Sportbike Rider Line-up

The RoadRace Factory is pleased to announce our rider line-up and sponsorship package for the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing Series.

Returning for his 3rd season as a RoadRace Factory DSB Rider – Jake Gagne has been signed through the 2014 season. As the main contender to Cameron Beaubier through out the 2013 season, Jake Gagne finished a strong 2nd place in series points. Jake was a podium finisher in almost every race (Miller and Laguna being the exceptions) last season and was the only rider to beat Cameron in a heads up race at Road America. For 2014, Jake will seek to win the championship aboard his familiar RoadRace Factory R6.

Joining Jake in the DSB Pits will be AMA Pro Road Racing SuperSport Series Champion, Tomas Puerta. This will be Tomas’ rookie season in the Daytona Sportbike Class. After a solid season as the top SuperSport rider, capturing the West Series and Overall titles, Tomas made a strong impression in the final DSB race of the year at Mazda Laguna Seca in 2013. He finished the highest of any invited SuperSport rider and scored 8th overall in a field packed with seasoned vets.

Providing wings for the team, Red Bull will again be the primary sponsor for the DSB class. This will be the third season for what is quickly becoming a dominate partnership in the Daytona Sportbike Series. In the three seasons that RoadRace Factory has partnered with Red Bull, the team has staked a claim as a serious title contender accepting the challenge against more established teams that have decades of experience and factory backing. RoadRace Factory / Red Bull is a privateer success story and in 2014 we have our collective sights set on the championship.

“2013 was by far an incredible year for us as a team and a family. We exceeded the expectations of the racing critics and captured the attention of the fans and factories. I’m really excited about our prospects for 2014. We have Red Bull back and much of the same crew returning to support Jake and Tomas. Jake is an incredible talent and we are lucky to have him return to fight for and possibly win the championship this season. Tomas, we knew this kid was special and when he showed the boys what he could do at Laguna it was a ‘no brainier’. Having won the overall SuperSport series title and looking to step up, we welcome Tomas with open arms. We expect that he’ll be a top 5 contender all season long and continue to excel race to race.

Our goals are simple, capture the championship, work with talented riders who can go on as ambassadors of the sport, and promote the series and sponsors. We fully expect to see RoadRace Factory / Red Bull on the box every weekend.” – Danny Walker (Team Manager / Owner)

2014 SuperSport Plans still being finalized.. Stay Tuned!
