From a press release issued by RPS: Racing Performance Services Announces 2004 Schedule and Sponsored riders… Racing Performance Services (www.roadracinghelp.com), a leader in suspension and rider training services, is pleased to announce the 2004 trackside support schedule and sponsored rider list. RPS customers and sponsored riders won over 100 sprint races and 25 championships in the Colorado and Texas racing markets. The Goal for 2004 is 200 race wins and 50 championships. Shane Stoyko and Tom Gathright helped RPS get a head start on this goal at Talladega during the WERA Mid-Central season opener. Stoyko took convincing wins in the solo 20 and A Superstock races. Stoyko missed the trifecta when 2003 Suzuki GSXR-750 Cup Champion, Ben Attard put a lap rider in between himself and Stoyko on the last in the Formula One race to take the win from Stoyko. Tom Gathright made his expert debut in impressive fashion with a podium finish in the Senior Superbike race. As we move into the 2004 season, the RPS sponsored rider team looks ready to capture more wins and championships. CMRA racing series overview Sprint – Riders Mark Delano and Shane Stoyko return to the RPS sponsored rider team after representing the company’s suspension services in excellent fashion in 2003. RPS will be working with Mark Delano to provide the highest level of success as he competes in the Team Hammer Talent Search. CCS Middleweight Sportsman Amateur National Champion Miki Espiritu is new to the sponsored rider team in 2004 and RPS is very excited to help the young teenager repeat the success from 2003. Miki used a simple RPS $20.00 suspension tune-up last year for season long success. Endurance veteran Andy Galindo and perennial top finisher Phillip Lawlis look to move up the podium with RPS support as well. Endurance – 2002 Number 1 plate holder Big Air Racing will be using RPS suspension support to recapture top honors in the highly coveted Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association’s Endurance Series. The team is poised for success early in the season. Also in the stable of support is the Lone Star Track Days endurance team. LSTD has stepped up their endurance effort for 2004 and RPS is glad to be part of their team effort. Rounding out the RPS sponsored riders and teams are Phillip Fisher, Noah Reese, Tom Gathright, Mark Godfrey, and endurance team Lone Gunmen Racing. We wish all of our CMRA sponsored and riders the best of luck in the 2004 season. MRA racing series overview RPS is very pleased to have 2003 sponsored riders and customers Ryan Burke, Dennie Burke, Rich Deeming, Greg Greenwood, Mike Applehans, and Tyler Jones return to the RPS team. RPS is very eager to continue providing suspension support for these distinguished racers as part of the RPS sponsored rider team. Each of these exceptional riders distinguished themselves among their peers in 2003. Also receiving RPS support for 2004 in the MRA are flat tracker Jake Latimer, Doug Lyle, Andrew Brown, Jason Trabert, Troy Runck, Alex Kuretz, and Shana Hyer. Additional Notes Racing Performance Services thanks its customers for the tremendous support. RPS was pleased to contribute to the Roadracing World Action Fund as part of our commitment to the racing community. In 2004, RPS hopes to raise over $2000.00 for the Roadracing World Action Fund to help provide life saving protection where racers need it. We also encourage race fans to watch for the debut of teenager Chase Lee in the CMRA series. A motocross champion, Chase has displayed talent that would put him on the expert podium in most regional expert races. Lastly, RPS is looking forward to supporting ASMA rider Shaun Hopkins in his effort to take top honors at Arroyo Seco Motorplex. Thank you to our sponsored riders and customers. The RPS 2004 event schedule is available at www.roadracinghelp.com or racers can contact Marcus McBain at [email protected] if they have any questions.
