People Against Distracted Driving, NJMP team up for motorcycle raffle
GRAND PRIZE: 2013 Harley Davidson Sportster Iron; tickets are $10 each
MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park has recently partnered with the Nikki Kellenyi Foundation – People against Distracted Driving, on a number of initiatives to assist in the elimination of texting and driving.
As part of the campaign, a 2013 Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 833 (model XL883N) will be raffled off to an NJMP fan, with a portion of ticket proceeds going to the PADD organization. Entries are $10.00 and available at www.njmp.com.
The motorcycle, valued at $7,999, will go to the winner of a Sunday, September 14th drawing, which will occur following the final race of NJMP’s AMA Pro Road Racing “Devil’s Showdown” weekend. It is currently on display at the facility’s Finish Line Pub.
“All of us at New Jersey Motorsports Park are excited about our partnership with PADD, and certainly this raffle for such an important cause,” said Park general manager/COO Brad Scott. “This is just the beginning of our partnership, and we look forward to a great season of helping spread their message.”
Nikki Kellenyi was the rear passenger of a car driven by her classmate when a fatal collision with a pick-up truck occurred. It was later revealed that the driver of the car Kellenyi was riding in had sent four text messages in the last minute before the crash. Today, it is the hope of the Kellenyi family as well as her large community of friends, to carry on a campaign, in Nikki’s name to call attention to and end distracted driving.

New Jersey Motorsports Park’s partnership with People against Distracted Driving’s “Don’t Text and Drive” campaign, announced in late 2013, will include signage at the Park during the 2014 season.
