September is Back to School month but don’t let the kids be the only ones to have fun. The very day after the final round of the AMA Pro SuperBike Series finishes at New Jersey Motorsports Park, send the kids to the bus stop and join us for class. September is by far the best weather month in New Jersey and who knows, you may even get to be on TV.

The Yamaha Champions Riding School will be at NJMP for the entire week after the big race for two fantastic schools. On the 15th and 16th of September Larry will have his film crew out to get some footage of Larry’s new venture, YCRS, for his television show, “The SuperBike Family”.

“I am very proud of the show and very proud to be a part of the Champions Riding School. It is a perfect fit and I am happy to finally be able to get them together.” – says Larry Pegram “The way in which Nick (Ienatsch) and Ken (Hill) have tirelessly worked to perfect the program originally instituted by one of my heroes, Freddie Spencer, is really something and I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to improve their racing or street riding.”

Don’t just come for the fame and glory, come to learn the same techniques the top riders in that weekend’s races have learned over the years to keep them at the top of the sport on the same track they just raced. Judging by past history, I’ll bet many of the podium finishers have been through the YCRS program in one way or another. Who knows who else may show up while they are in town, we already have a few other popular names telling us they want to stick around for a few days.

Are you a returning student? Take advantage of our 10% return discount because you know you love the school and there’s a decent chance you will be in town so why not. There are about 5 spots left for the Monday – Tuesday class and 7 for the Thursday – Friday class so don’t wait too long. Many waited until the last minute for the August class, ended up on a waiting list, and had to miss out on two wonderful days.

If you make it out to NJMP for the AMA Pro weekend, stop by the garage and say hello. We will be there promoting the school and supporting some of our 2014 graduates as they challenge themselves as rookies in the AMA Pro SuperSport Series. Eziah Davis will be completing his rookie season, Anne Roberts and C.J. Laroche will both be competing in just their second ever professional race, and Casey Tobolewski will be making his AMA debut by turning 16 the day before the race weekend starts. All are YCRS graduates that we are proud to be supporting and are more than willing to help other graduates that are in the paddock. Of course, we cannot forget YCRS instructor Kyle Wyman who will be competing in the Daytona SportBike Class and looking to beat his own track record on the Harley in the XR1200 race and Larry Pegram as America’s top privateer in the SuperBike class.
