MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park announced a diverse calendar of race weekends and off-track events on Thursday, as officials look ahead to the facility’s eighth season of operation in Millville.

The 2015 race season will include schedule highlights such as MotoAmerica (formerly AMA Pro Road Racing), the Vintage Motorcycle Festival featuring the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association, ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, Trans-Am Championship, and 24 Hours of LeMons, among others.

Returning after short hiatus’ from NJMP are a pair of August weekend Monster Truck shows and a weekend featuring the open-wheel F2000, F1600, and Atlantic Championships, along with North American Road Racing Association (NARRA).

“We’re thrilled to welcome back our traditional race weekends, along with some new and exciting events, and a few that are returning after a year or two off of our schedule,” said Park general manager/COO Brad Scott. “We’re also pleased to see the continued growth of our off-track calendar, bringing new fans and families to our facility each year for motorsports and much more.”

As in previous years, children 12-and-under are granted free admission to the majority of the Park’s spectator events.

The season will kick off with a slate full of endurance racing during the weekend of April 24-26 with the annual South Jersey SCCA Devil in the Dark 12-hour on Thunderbolt Raceway, along with the Optima Batteries ChumpCar World Series 12-hour on the 1.9-mile Lightning Raceway. The newly formed ChampTruck World Series will also kick off its inaugural season in the United States on Lightning during this action-packed spring weekend.

The fan favorite 24 Hours of LeMons will once again take over Thunderbolt Raceway during Mother’s Day Weekend, May 8-10, 2015, with its “Real Hoopties of New Jersey” event, which featured over 150 entries a year ago.

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, a mainstay on the New Jersey Motorsports Park calendar since 2008, will move back a week to the May 23-24, 2015 race weekend. Additional support series will be announced in the near future.

Returning after a stellar showing last spring, the Trans-Am Championship will headline the Weekend of Thunder, June 13-14, 2015. NJMP is part of a 12-race schedule featuring Daytona International Speedway and Circuit of the Americas in Austin, as the series’ entry lists continue to grow.

Off the track, the internationally-acclaimed Warrior Dash will make its first-ever stop in southern New Jersey on Saturday, August 8th.

For the seventh consecutive year, championship motorcycle racing will take center stage at New Jersey Motorsports Park with the Devil’s Showdown, September 11-13. In 2015, the event will feature MotoAmerica, an exciting new road racing series aimed to increase the relevance of AMA/FIM North American road racing and to help prepare North American road racers for the international stage.

Ticket sales for NJMP’s 2015 event schedule will open in the coming weeks, with an accompanying announcement and link to the online ticket office. For more information, visit New Jersey Motorsports Park on the web at www.njmp.com.
