New Jersey Motorsports Park Gears Up for 2019 Season

Fan schedule, facility renovations & more planned for the facility’s 11th season

MILLVILLE, N.J. Jan. 15, 2019 – New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) Chief Operating Officer, Brad Scott, announced the 2019 season schedule and the facility updates today as NJMP moves into season 11.

“New Jersey Motorsports Park looks forward to hosting our schedule mainstays such as the MotoAmerica Series, Vintage Racer Group, Championship Cup Series, American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA), Millville’s Fourth of July Festival and the Monster Truck and Thrill Show,” said Scott. “The 2018 season was a huge success and included many enhancements and additions to improve the overall fan and track participant experience. From open paddock access at events and the addition of our skid pad car clinics during track days, we have seen record crowds throughout the facility marking 2018 as our highest occupancy rate since opening in 2008. “

“With that said, 2019 is going to be one of the most anticipated seasons yet, with the opening of Choppers House Outdoors (axe throwing), the event merge of Millville’s Fireworks Festival and our Food Truck Festival and our motorcycle club, The Riders Club, hitting our tracks for its first season,” said Scott.

The facility has partnered with Choppers Hatchet House of Cherry Hill to open a satellite campus at NJMP this March. Choppers House Outdoors will feature 2 arenas, electronic scoring, and a lounge area behind the facility’s clubhouse. Choppers House Outdoors will be open to groups starting this spring however they are starting to take reservations now.

Established in Aug. 2018, the Riders Club membership program combines the most powerful motorcycle club management, experienced instructors, and NJMP to offer premier motorcycle-only track days, membership benefits and a controlled and safe environment to ride your motorcycle. The club offers two levels of membership: gold and premium, along with guest rates. To offer ample track time, the club has a passport program at two other tracks totaling the member track days to 45 for the 2019 season.

Ahead of the Park’s season, phase IV of the Exotic Car Garages has broken ground to begin the construction of the eight new units. The trackside garage units will total 10,500 square feet and calls for units ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. Furthermore, the facility’s Clubhouse and the Finish Line Pub is scheduled for renovations to create an open floor plan and a bigger bar area. The trackside VIP Suites will also get a facelift with updated furniture and interior work.

The Millville facility in conjunction with TK Autosports is debuting a Tech and Tire center in the paddock of Thunderbolt Raceway. The center will mount, balance and change tires for riders and drivers in the new season starting this spring.

In addition to all the on-track action, 2019 will bring a wide variety of off-track events for non-race fans and race fans alike.

“NJMP is unique because we are versatile, and we are thrilled to provide a wide variety of on and off-track events to our fans in 2019,” says Brad Scott, Chief Operation Officer. “NJMP saw record crowds in 2018 with the return of KSR Motorsports Monster Truck and Thrill Show and Millville’s 4th of July Festival. We look forward to providing another year of on and off track excitement that our fans have come to know and love.”

The City of Millville’s Firework & Food Truck Festival presented by TD Bankwill deliver a family fun start to the summer on July 6, featuring 20 food trucks, live music, on-track action, a fireworks display and more!

NJMP is planning a jam packed off track event schedule in 2019 with the addition of an American Red Cross Blood Drive Feb. 15 and the Terrain Race Aug. 24. In March, the Millville facility will also host a bicycle race organized by MainSport Timing & Event Management, sanctioned by USA Cycling and officiated by the New Jersey Bicycling Association. The Finish Line Pub’s signature Full Throttle Friday Happy Hours and Sunday Brunches will return as well as monthly Motor(less) Nights on the world-class road courses.

This year we were voted one of the top racetracks in the country by Road & Track, and the number two road course by racing fans, NJMP worked hard this past season to uphold the titles. NJMP is under the radar of the racing world, and it’s exciting to see the direction that we are heading for the future.”

New for 2019, the Park’s go-karting facility, Tempest Raceway, will debut three new experiences to their track that are open to the public: monthly endurance races, a membership for their rental karts, and a five week summer league. The go-karting facility is also open to corporate and group parties to celebrate any occasion.
