DENVER, Colo. – With the return of the Big Kahuna to Road Atlanta, M1 PowerSports has renewed a partnership from the original events held at the venue in the 1990s, naming Motul as the Official Oil and Lubricant for the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown. The worldwide lubricant manufacturer will have a strong presence both on and off the track, beginning at the Big Kahuna Atlanta, scheduled for April 20-22, 2012 at Braselton, Georgia’s Road Atlanta. “We are very happy to be partnering with Motul for the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “We had a great relationship with Dave Wolman and the Motul crew when we were promoting the Original Big Kahuna Nationals at Road Atlanta back in 1998 and I am glad that we’ll be working with them again this year. Motul has some of the best products in the industry and we are proud to call them a Big Kahuna partner.” Motul has been creating lubricants for 150 years and has a strong involvement at the highest levels of motorsport competition. Their corporate culture and dedication to the sport of motorcycle road racing will be instrumental in the promotion of all three Triumph Big Kahuna events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing schedule. “We at Motul are extremely excited to be part of the newest AMA Pro Racing events, the Big Kahuna Triple Crown!” said Dave Wolman – President of Motul USA. “When I heard that there was going to be an early model superbike race with riders and bikes from the 80’s and 90’s era my interest was really piqued. I was the team manager at Yoshimura Suzuki back in the late 80’s and a mechanic before that. It will be great to see some old friends back in the saddle again. The 3 race series will be a great addition to the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing line up and Motul is very proud to be the Official Oil and Lubricants of this year’s Big Kahuna events.” Tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta begin at just $20 and that event is just the first of three M1 PowerSports-promoted events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing calendar which make up the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown. Originally spawned from Daniels Corporation under the name FAST, the fledgling company was heavily involved in television production for car and motorcycle racing. With the birth of Speedvision, FAST morphed into Race Promotion Management (RPM) and is now operating as M1 PowerSports with many of the same staff still in place.
