Travis Wyman, rider for Weir Everywhere Racing, said, “I am excited to announce Steve Weir and I will be going forward with our plans to compete in MotoAmerica’s new Stock 1000 class. After last season, I was preparing to take my racing career in a very different direction. However, MotoAmerica’s decision to create the Stock 1000 class and my new partnership with Steve have given me an exciting new opportunity to continue my MotoAmerica career. The class’ emphasis on controlling costs and the strength of the BMW package have provided me with a great platform to showcase my talent. I am looking forward to using my 10 years of professional road racing experience, as well as my relationships with Lenny Albin from K-Tech Suspension and Steve Weir to show what this BMW S1000RR is capable of. I am also happy to continue our team’s relationship with Marino Communications and BrockImaging for the 2018 MotoAmerica season. Their partnership has been a big help to us with getting the word out about our pre-season successes. We are looking forward continuing our relationship with them to provide our sponsors with the visibility and value they deserve.”

Steve Weir, crew chief for Weir Everywhere Racing, said, “Working with Travis and the team over the last few months has been like watching a perfect storm come together. I could not be happier with the progress we have made in getting our BMW S1000RR ready for the 2018 MotoAmerica season. We have had several new sponsors join our effort and will have Alex Torres working with us as our chief mechanic. In my opinion, Alex is one of the best mechanics in the country, and he will have a tremendous positive impact on the team as we work toward our goal of winning the inaugural MotoAmerica Stock 1000 title. I would like to extend a big thank you to BMW Motorrad North America and BMW Motorrad Germany for giving me the opportunity to work with them over the past couple years. I am also grateful for the support they will be providing us with this season. I really believe we have a legitimate shot at winning the class title and am looking forward to getting our season underway at Road Atlanta in April.”
