Former AMA Superbike Champion Josh Herrin will not race Sunday after crashing his Attack Performance/Herrin Compound Yamaha YZF-R1 during the warm-up session Sunday morning at Utah Motorsports Campus.

Herrin told Roadracingworld.com that he touched a painted curb that was wet from a sprinkling of rain and highsided at high speed.

The ensuing crash destroyed Herrin’s trick Superbike, and with only 2.5 hours until the race and no back-up bike, Herrin said he and his team decided to call it a day.
