Walt Sipp and Jim Doyle of G-Baby Racing, team up for MotoAmerica Twins Cup assault.

Kansas City, MO – Veteran Twins rider Walt Sipp announced today that he has teamed with Jim Doyle to contest the final MotoAmerica Twins Cup race held at the picturesque Barber Motorsports Park. Walt has previously raced twins in AMA’s Pro Thunder, Formula Xtreme, and Daytona Sportbike as well as ASRA Thunderbike where he is a past champion and lap record holder. This however, will be a new challenge all together as he will be riding a Suzuki SV650 for the first time.

Jim Doyle and G-Baby Racing carry their own impressive resume. Jim is a seasoned racer and tuner himself both as a rider and team owner, packing multiple national and regional championships. Few know how to get the most out of an SV650 like he does.

Sipp said, “I’m really excited for this opportunity, but it’s funny too. I’ve never raced an SV – only ever against them. I’m looking forward to finally getting on one, and there aren’t much better than the SV’s Jim puts together. The Twins Cup class looks like a lot of fun and even though I was unsuccessful in lobbying to get a more familiar brand to me made legal, I still wanted part of the action. We have a one day test planned to get familiar with the bike then it’s on to Barber. I have no real expectations for the race other than to go have fun, but I’m hoping to qualify in the top half of the field and see where the race plays out. I can’t thank enough Bison Racing, Arai Helmets, Arlen Ness, Sidi, Vortex, Ohlins, SBS and Motul for their continued support. “

Jim added, “I really like it when fast people ride my bikes and Walt certainly measures up. It’s going to be real fun working with him. I want to thank Olathe Suzuki, Café Race Inc, Vortex, Motion Pro, EBC Brakes, and Chicken Hawk Racing for their support.

The team would like to thank iONEMOTO Sharkskinz for making us look great for this effort.
