Altus Motorsports Team “Gets Supercharged for 2018 MotoAmerica Championships”

(Altus, OK) – Altus Motorsports Race Team is proud to announce new riders and partners for 2018 MotoAmerica Championship Series. We are excited to announce signing a multi-year agreement with Supercharged “Natural Sports Drink.” Supercharged is a Georgia based performance Natural Beverage Company. “Partnering with Supercharged is going to enable our team to contend for the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship Title. We will be working directly with Supercharged’s sales staff to grow distribution and sales in key markets across the United States. We have been looking for the right company to partner with and we found each other. We are Supercharged for 2018,” said George and Janette Nassaney, Team Owners.

Altus Motorsports Suzuki is honored to have AMA Horizon Award winner Miles Thornton leading the team in the Supersport Class for 2018. Thornton brings his championship proven racing skills back into the limelight for 2018. Winning multiple championships in AMA & WERA competition over the last 10 years gives him the experience necessary to be a top contender in 2018. Miles is working hard on and off the bike to be the “WORLD CLASS” racer and champion he is destined to become.

The 600 Supersport class will also be contested by Jaret Nassaney. Jaret looks to take his last three seasons of MotoAmerica competition to the top of the podium in 2018. Nassaney has showed great promise, consistent improvement, speed and poise in 2017. Jaret is quickly rising in ranks of the Supersport class. His highlight of the 2017 was in New Jersey Motorsports Park, where he finished 11th and 12th respectively in the Superstock 600 class. Altus Motorsports is proud of this young man and anticipate great things in 2018 and beyond.

Our championship run will be lead by Crew Chief Eric Gray. Eric’s 15 years of Superbike road racing experience is paramount to the success of the team. Eric has spent six of those 15 years working with Team Hammer as a crew chief. Eric’s intense focus on excellence and execution will drive Altus Motorsports to be true contenders for the 2018 MotoAmerica 600 Supersport Class Championship title.

The 2018 MotoAmerica season will welcome the introduction of the all-new Twins class, a category based off of popular lightweight street models. Besides giving fans the chance to watch more on-track action, the Twins will allow riders, teams, and OEMs the opportunity for more involvement in the MotoAmerica Championship.

Altus will be fielding a Twins class Yamaha FZ-07R built in house at Altus Motorsports by Andy Palmer. The Yamaha FZ-07R will be available for leasing at selected rounds. New team member Palmer will be the crew chief for this. If interested in leasing at any of the MotoAmerica rounds please contact Altus Motorsports at 888-477-1500.

The class will play host to several 600cc to 800cc twin-cylinder bikes, with a rule package designed to allow freedom to builders and small shops to make their own modifications and custom builds. Engines can be extensively modified, as can some of the chassis components, and an open-ECU rule will make for a tuner’s dream. Low minimum weight limits add to that – also being the reason for strong power-to-weight ratios and undoubtedly quick lap times.

Altus Motorsports Race Team is supported by a great family of partners, including Suzuki, Supercharged Natural Sports Drink, Tucker Rocky, Moto D, Arai, Vortex, Hot Bodies Racing, Vesrah, Taichi, Moto Liberty, Sidi, M4, Wilmes Chevy, PSR, and Team Hammer.
