Michelin To Allow Private Teams And Riders Into Newly Scheduled Test Sessions

MICHELIN TEST SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED; OPEN TO ALL AMA TEAMS

Michelin and its partner teams, Ducati Austin and Valvoline EMGO Suzuki, will undertake a comprehensive testing schedule prior to and during the 2004 AMA road racing season, comprising at least 18 days at most of the venues on the AMA schedule. Additional test dates may be added later.

In the spirit of competition, these tests will be open to all factory-supported AMA Superbike, Supersport, Superstock and Formula Xtreme teams, and all tire manufacturers, on a shared-cost basis. Additionally, privateer Michelin racers who hold AMA Pro licenses and who will contest the 2004 AMA Superbike, Supersport, Superstock or Formula Xtreme series are welcome to participate at no cost, as are riders who have signed up for the 2004 Team Hammer Talent Search. California Speedway, February 18-19

Barber Motorsports Park, March 18-19

Road America, April 20-21

Pikes Peak International Raceway, May 5-6

Brainerd International Raceway, June 8-9

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, June 30-July 1

Road Atlanta, August 2-3

Virginia International Raceway, August 11-12
