Wyman looking to regain championship contention at Indianapolis Harley-Davidson doubleheader

MACEDON, N.Y. (Aug. 6) — Millennium Technologies rider Kyle Wyman will be hunting for race wins at this coming weekend’s Harley-Davidson series doubleheader at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Wyman, a former Indianapolis winner, only attended the race in 2013 in the role of a team owner, fielding nine riders under the KWR banner. This year, he is focused on reaching the top step of the podium.

“I’m excited to be heading back to Indianapolis and competing in front of the MotoGP crowd again,” Wyman said. “The support from Harley-Davidson and Vance & Hines has given us great opportunities like this one, and I want to make the most of it. My last win at Road America feels like it was ages ago, and I’m hungry to show what my Millennium Technologies XR1200 is capable of.”

Currently sitting in 6th in series points standings, Wyman is a hefty 51 points out of the championship lead. With only three rounds remaining in the 2014 season, race wins are the only way to regain championship contention.

“It’s definitely a far-cry, that’s for sure,” Wyman said. “But mathematically speaking, we’re not out of it. There are some things that happened this year which haven’t gone our way, but the focus is forward and right now we have three more opportunities to win races and gain some points back – two of them are this weekend.”

This weekend’s races will not be covered on Fanschoice.tv. Stay tuned for updates on Kyle’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/kylewymanfans
