AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Featuring ROK™ Affinity Group

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC) is proud to announce their sponsorship of the annual AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, July 7-9th, 2017, featuring prominently the Riders of Kawasaki, in association with the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA).

With KMC’s involvement, a special group of former Kawasaki racers will be on hand, serving as the event’s Grand Marshals. Attendees will have the chance to meet motocross pro Gary Semics, champion drag racer Tony Nicosia and former Kawasaki test rider and mechanic Steve Johnson. AMA will also be hosting a Kawasaki motorcycle display with a special selection of historic and new Kawasaki models. This year AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will also be giving away a new Kawasaki Z125 PRO.

“With more than 50 years in America, Kawasaki is excited to be a part of the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days,” said Kawasaki Vice President of Marketing Chris Brull. “The event has become a staple in the American motorcycle culture, and we hope our racers, motorcycle display, and Riders of Kawasaki group will help to even further celebrate motorcycling in America.”

The AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is a nonprofit fundraiser for the AMA Hall of Fame. Informally known as “America’s largest motorcycle swap meet,” the weekend long event features national championship vintage racing in numerous disciplines and unforgettable fun everywhere.

“Since 1966, Kawasaki has delivered on its promise to provide American motorcyclists high-performance fun, sensible transportation, the keys to two-wheeled adventure and everything in between,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki, will tell the stories of the men and women who have enjoyed Kawasaki’s incredible machines, from the 1966 Samurai to the breathtaking 2017 Ninja H2™R sportbike, and in the off-road arena, we’ve seen bikes like the legendary Bighorn and the championship-winning KX™250F and KX™450F motocross bikes.”
