Karel Abraham skips the race in Indianapolis Karel Abraham misses out the Grand Prix of Indianapolis which starts at 8 pm CET. The rider suffers from strong pain, after his tough crash on Friday. The decision was taken by team after mornings warm up, to not risk a deterioration of health condition of the rider, and to not endanger his start at home Grand Prix of the Czech Republic next week. Karel Abraham “We tried it and under this condition it makes no sense, especially regarding to Brno that is the most important race of the season from our point of view. Actually I have only four days to get my health condition better. It is going to be very tough anyway, because it’s been two days since I have crashed out and I don’t feel any better. The biggest problem remains. It is my shoulder that limits me a lot in any movement on the bike. Thus I have to hope and believe that I get better with help of doctors and physiotherapeutic and that I will be hundred percent ok in Brno or even close to this condition.” Marco Grana, chief mechanic of team Cardion AB Motoracing “Karel tried to make today´s warm up without painkillers and he was almost unable to ride more that tree laps in a row because of pain. And even in these laps we were almost a half second slower than penultimate rider. Under this condition it has no sense to race. We’ll make everything to get Karel in better condition before home race in Brno.”
