Jonathan Champ, Pat Stewart Win ZARS Shootout Races At Brainerd

Brainerd, MN – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held the Shootout Championship and Rider Challenge Championships Series and Track Days, June 27, at Brainerd International Raceway.

Several top riders and racers from across the Midwest and Canada rode the Competition Course in Brainerd, Minnesota. The Shootout Series attracted several top racers, including Cities Edge rider Pat Stewart and MNSBR rider Jon Champ. The series presented by BlownConcepts.com awarded over $500 in cash prizes to the top finishers in each of the classes.

In GP Expert 3/4, Stewart had a strong lead on the field with runner up Jake Schmotter finishing ahead of Harry Jensen who rode strong to finish in 3rd. In the GP Expert 1/2 class, points leader Jonathan Champ put on an incredible performance from start to finish to take the win from Bob Barton.

In the Novice ranks, new points leader Joseph Mastain took a commanding lead and the checkered flag for the GP 3/4 win with Matt Cina in 2nd and Rob Goeman in 3rd. Rookie Chris Mattson took home his first win in the GP 1/2 class.

ZARS continues to broaden our opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. Patrick Wagaman had an impressive ride with and took the win for GP 3. In GP4, points leader Greg Pecore took the win for the Rider Challenge.

ZARS heads to High Plains Raceway (Colorado), July 25-26.
