Kneedraggers.com’s Robert Jensen claimed pole position for the Formula USA Formula Sportbike (750cc) final during qualifying Sunday morning at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama. Jensen’s time of 1:28.529, set on a Michelin-equipped Suzuki GSX-R750, smashed the old Formula Sportbike qualifying record of 1:29.694, set by Steve Rapp in 2004. Arclight Suzuki’s Jeff Wood, Argo Cycle’s Jesse Janisch and Roadracingworld.com’s Chris Ulrich also qualified on the front row for the 18-lap event.
