2013 FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Bwin Grand Prix Ceske Republiky – Decision of the Race Direction The Race Direction has held a hearing regarding an incident in the QP2 session of the bwin Grand Prix Czeske Republiky. After the incident was reported there was a technical problem related to viewing the CCTV images, so the hearing was re-scheduled to the following GP at Silverstone. On Saturday 24 August during the final minutes of the QP2 qualifying session for the MotoGP class of the bwin Grand Prix Czeske Republiky, rider number 29 Andrea Iannone was making a slow lap and failed to stay off the racing line, thereby impeding the progress of rider number 4, Andrea Dovisioso. The Race Direction reviewed TV images of the incident and called a hearing, as this is considered to be riding in an irresponsible manner and therefore a breach of Article 1.21.2 of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations. The hearing was held on Friday 30 August 2013 in Silverstone, and the decision of the Race Direction is to impose one penalty point on the 2013 season total of rider number 29, Andrea Iannone. No appeal was lodged. The decision of the Race Direction is final.
