Roi Holster, from Napa Valley, California, will race his first Daytona 200 on March 15th, after competing in AMA Pro Racing SuperSport for the past three years.

This is the 73rd annual Daytona 200 and is regarded as one of the most prestigious races on the AMA Pro Racing circuit. It is a flat-out battle on the high banks of Daytona International Speedway for 200 miles, 57 laps reaching speeds up to 175 mph!

Holster stated, “We decided to move up to the premier class of Daytona SportBike mid-season 2013 after a number of injuries and safety concerns, plus you learn from the top riders in the nation.

“It has taken a lot of prep work in order to compete in this event and at this level. From the quick-change wheel kits to the quick-fill dry break fueling system required for the two pit stops. Not to mention traveling 3,000 miles away from home with a crew and the knowledge and effort it takes. It’s plain exhausting.

“A lot of pressure rides on the crew, as well. We’ve learned it’s not about what you do right. It’s about what you don’t do wrong! A bad pit stop can set you very far back in the race and visa-versa. Practicing pit stops along with dieting and working out for endurance we know this is not going to be an easy race, but I look forward to the challenge.”
