Troy Herfoss Heading to Japan from ASC Season Opener

25th March 2015 – Team Honda Racing’s Troy Herfoss will fly straight to Japan on Sunday from the ASC season opener to attend testing with the Dream RT Sakurai Honda team in the lead up to Round 1 of the Japanese Superbike Championship.

Herfoss will be competing not only in Round 1 at Suzuka, but also Round 3 of the Japanese Superbike Championship at Motegi before testing and competing in the Suzuka 8 Hour endurance race in late July.

Dividing his time between competing for Team Honda Racing in the Australasian Superbike Championship and the time spent testing and competing for the Dream RT Sakurai Honda team, Herfoss is indeed living the Honda dream. “I am really excited! The opportunity to spend more time on the bike for the Sakurai Honda team before the Suzuka 8 Hour event is fantastic. I’ll be heading straight to the airport on Sunday after racing the first round of our championship just to make it to Japan in time to test for the first round of the Japanese championship. I can’t wait to get on the bike and work with the team to create a solid plan for the events I will compete in. The Sakurai Honda team is a very professional team and I look forward to learning all I can throughout my time in Japan.”

Troy will compete at Round 1 of the Japanese Superbike Championship on the 18th and 19th April.
