Jeff Emig, Motocross – AMA Hall of Fame Emig was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2004 and for good reason. He won four major titles for Yamaha and Kawasaki and was a six-time member of the U.S. MXON Team in the 1990’s. He retired in 2000 but has stayed very involved in motocross. Today he’s part of the commentator team that calls the Monster Energy Supercross series and also the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The past year has been good to Brayton. He won the Gold Medal at the X Games held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, took a respectable eighth in the Monster Energy Supercross series, and eleventh in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. It’s been a big year as he also got married and signed with O’neal. www.justinbrayton.com Tim Burleson, Road Racing Chaplain Tim Burleson, a Motor Racing Outreach Association representative serving many motorcycle communties, is Coordinator of Motorcycle Roadracing Ministries, in addition to serving as chaplain to AMA Proracing and the WERA National Series. Attending roughly 26 races over the course of each year, Tim often involves other MROA members to become involved at races that he cannot attend. The news was announced after Geico rider Justin Bogle sustained an injury. Wharton rode for the GEICO Honda team from 2008 to 2011. Last year, Wharton finished third overall in the 250SX East championship standings, winning in Houston and finishing on the podium five times. Wharton will race the East regardless of Bogle’s healing timetable, which should give Wharton what he needs to make a championship run. www.facebook.com/blake.wharton.13 Colt Nichols, Arenacross- Team Babbitts Monster Energy AMSOIL Kawasaki Presented by Maxxis This will be Colt’s first year as a pro in the AMSOIL Arenacross featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross. He’s signed with the premier team and should have all the tools necessary to show what he’s capable of. Prior to turning pro he has a long list of amateur accomplishments including titles on 65’s, 85’s, B Classes, Schoolboy, 250 2-Stroke and A classes while racing the World Mini’s, Ponca City, Oak Hill, Freestone, Mini O’s, and Mammoth. His most recent title was the 250 Pro Class at Mammoth in 2013. He’s from Muskogee, Oklahoma and has trained with Robbie Reynard since he was 12 years old.
