AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony welcomes Harley-Davidson as title sponsor

Sept. 22 event to be held in conjunction with AIMExpo in Columbus, Ohio

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association welcomes the Harley-Davidson Motor Company as the title sponsor of the 2017 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sept. 22 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The event will be known as the 2017 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Harley-Davidson.

“Harley-Davidson is the leading motorcycle brand in the United States, in terms of market share,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “We are pleased and excited to have Harley’s support as we honor one legend and celebrate the induction of five motorcycling greats into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.”

The Class of 2017 includes: FMF Racing founder Don Emler Sr., off-road racing champion Eddie Lojak Sr., world motocross champion and Road 2 Recovery founder Bob Moore, racer and filmmaker Peter Starr and racer, team owner and publisher John Ulrich. They will be honored along with Hall of Famer Bill Werner, now an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend.

“Harley-Davidson is thrilled to serve as the title sponsor of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony,” said Mike Kennedy, vice president and managing director, U.S., at Harley-Davidson. “As we look to the future and work to grow the sport of motorcycling, this ceremony provides a wonderful opportunity to pause, take time out and celebrate the legacies of these individuals who have meant so much to our industry.”

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place in conjunction with the American International Motorcycle Expo, an event that brings together consumers, dealers, manufacturers and the world press in one location for global product launches, demo rides, motorcycling seminars and more.

Reservations for the induction ceremony may be made at www.americanmotorcyclist.com/induction. Tickets, which include a reception, dinner and the induction ceremony, are $130 per person, or $120 for AMA Life Members. Current AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famers can attend for no charge. All proceeds support the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charitable organization that hosts the induction ceremony.
