Millennium KWS Suzuki rider John Haner will return to action at the Miller Motorsports Park round of the AMA Superbike Championship, June 16-18, after missing nearly eight weeks of the season due to a serious shoulder injury. Haner suffered a torn rotator cuff and ruptured tendons in his right shoulder when he crashed in the AMA Superstock race April 23 at Barber Motorsports Park. He had surgery at the hands of Dr. Arthur Ting May 1 to repair the damage. Calling from his Pearland, Texas home Tuesday, Haner told Roadracingworld.com, “My shoulder still hurts, but I have full range of movement. My sponsors have told me to just take it easy, and that’s what I’m planning on doing. I just want to go out, get some laps in, do the best I can, make some money and try to get ready for when we go to Laguna Seca next month.” Lee Acree raced Haner’s Pirelli-shod Suzuki GSX-R1000 while he was recovering.
