Randy Krummenacher and Team JiR begin winter test campaign

With the dust not having yet settled from an exciting Moto2 championship in 2014, Team JiR and their new rider Randy Krummenacher are already looking to begin the work for the 2015 season.

Since the debut of the popular and hard-fought Moto2 class in 2010, Team JiR has participated in this middle category and has distinguished itself with a number of wins and podiums. With recent years being marked with the use of up-and-coming young riders – including 2012’s Moto2 class Rookie of the Season Johann Zarco – for 2015 the team uses a mixture of youth and established experience with 24-year-old Krummenacher in the saddle for an exciting project.

This week sees the start of the winter test programme, with Team JiR and Randy basing themselves in Jerez for the 11-12and 13 November before moving to Valencia for two days of further testing on 17 and 18 November.

Gianluca Montiron, Team JiR team principal: “The last race has just concluded and immediately afterwards begins the 2015 season. We remain in Spain for three days test in Jerez and two in Valencia to start a new challenge. So, we give a warm welcome to Randy Krummenacher who is a young rider and who has acquired good points in the 2014 Moto2 season. These tests will serve to give him a familiarity with the new team and a different machine while for the team it will be an occasion to evaluate the confidence of the rider. We have had the confidence to make the necessary actions to make the right choice for 2015 and to create the conditions for the rider to improve his performance developing his talent and riding style. We are confident in this new challenge and in our capacity to see again that our JiR team is in a good position during the 2015 season. Already a new Partner has given us their trust in the sport project and winter will be an important time to define a new partnership. Let’s start wishing everyone involved good luck.”

Randy Krummenacher, 2015 Team JiR rider: “I am thrilled to be able to start the new season with my new team already in a few days. At the same time I am looking forward to this new challenge. It will be an interesting job to assess two different chassis in testing. Jerez is a nice track, which I know very well, though in my opinion it’s the best track to start this project. In any case, a lot of work is waiting for me. But I am highly motivated and cannot wait to meet my new environment soon.”

NGM Forward Racing is delighted to announce that Lorenzo Baldassarri will test the Kalex in occasion of the private Moto2 and Moto3 test session scheduled at Jerez starting from tomorrow.

NGM Forward Racing hasn’t finalized yet the second rider that will race alongside Simone Corsi in Moto2 next year, so Jerez test session will be an important occasion for Baldassarri to test the Kalex.

Simone Corsi will not take part to the Jerez test as he is still recovering from the injuries and he preferred not to take additional risks. His return on track is scheduled for next year.
