From a press release issued by Dorna Sports:

Estoril secures MotoGP for Portugal until 2006

Portugal will keep its spot on the MotoGP calendar at least until the 2006 season following the renewal of the agreement between the promoters of the event, Sociedade Gestora do Autódromo de Estoril (SGA), represented by Domingos Piedade, and Dorna Sports, the company that holds the commercial rights to the series, represented by its CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta.

Two representatives of the Portuguese Government, the Minister of Tourism, Telmo Correia, and the Minister of State and Sports, Henrique Chaves, were present at the signature ceremony that took place at the Autodromo de Estoril during last Sunday’s Grande Premio Marlboro de Portugal.

Estoril has been a regular venue for MotoGP ever since the Portuguese Grand Prix was held there for the first time in 2000. For the 2005 series it has been provisionally scheduled on a later date than usual and will take place on October 30th.
