Triumph Triple Challenge joins World Superbikes at Donington Park The Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) has announced that they will be joining the World Superbike line up at Donington Park next year – adding to what is already looking to be a fantastic season with more track time than ever before! This comes with the confirmation of the dates for the 2014 TTC season revealing two extra races in the calendar. The number of races has been increased to 20, including two triple headers! These will take place at the first round at Brands Hatch and at Snetterton in June. The series will continue to follow the British Superbikes calendar for eight rounds of the season, visiting some of the most prestigious circuits in the UK. The dates for the 2014 TTC are as follows: 18th, 19th & 20th, 21st April Brands Hatch Indy Rounds 1, 2, 3 3rd, 4th & 5th May Oulton Park Rounds 4, 5 23rd, 24th & 25th May (Supporting WSB) Donington Park GP Rounds 6, 7 13th, 14th & 15th June Snetterton 300 Rounds 8, 9, 10 1st, 2nd & 3rd August Thruxton Rounds 11, 12 23rd, 24th & 25th August Cadwell Park Rounds 13, 14 5th, 6th & 7th September Donington Park GP Rounds 15, 16 3rd, 4th & 5th October Silverstone GP Rounds 17, 18 17th, 18th & 19th October Brands Hatch GP Rounds 19, 20 In what will be its eighth year, the TTC continues to offer the best all round value introduction to British Championship racing. Its unrivalled parts support, loan bikes, tailored payment plan, television coverage and fantastic prizes. Last year, the TTC saw the most successful year of racing so far, with thirty-five riders on the grid. The TTC allows riders who hold an ACU license to race all models of Triumph Daytona 675. The one make series has given some great riders the opportunity to show their talent over the years, including previous champions Chrissy Rouse, Rob Guiver and Luke Jones. The first place prize, a ride with the T3 Racing Supersport or Superstock 600 team worth £50,000, sets the series apart from others. Guiver went on to win the British Supersport Cup class in 2013 and Jones came second in class the previous year. Stuart Higgs, British Superbikes Series Director, commented: “For the Triumph Triple Challenge to support a world championship shows what a great series it is and how far it has come. In only a few years, it has gone from club racing to supporting British Superbikes and now a world event. Even so, it still has the benefit of being a budget friendly championship, now more than ever with 20 races by virtue of the two triple headers. “In 2013 the TTC definitely impressed and 2014 looks to be even better. Last season particularly, the influx of international riders was great for the championship, demonstrating just how easy it is to jump on a plane and go racing.” Tony Scott, Director of the TTC, had this to say: “For our riders it has always been important for them to be able to show their talents at a British championship level, but to add a world event to our calendar is a real privilege. It enables us to give our riders the best opportunity to progress and move up through the ranks by showing what they can really do in a championship which leaves no room for error.” The TTC will once again be supported by Ace Cafe London, supplying the hospitality at each round and given a unique experience in the British Superbikes paddock.
